A Witness Against My Children - A Bible Lesson

Acts 2:28

Acts 2:28 "Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance."

When my children were very young, I wrote Sabbath Studies for a small publication. I want to share one with you today. Here is a quick version of how the lesson goes:

1. Open to Exodus 20 verses 1 - 17. These are the Ten Commandments. Read them to the children without explaining them.

2. Go over what each verse means.

3. The children should neatly copy down verses 3 to 17 in their notebooks.

4. Have each child sign their name on their paper.

5. Once they are all finished, read the following verse to them:

Deuteronomy 31:26 “Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.”

Mother could then say something like this: “So too, my children, is what you just learned. It shall be in your notebooks as a witness against you if you will not obey the words of God’s law.”

Just wait and see the looks on their faces when you do this lesson!!! (smiles)

Blessings,
Mrs. White

Want an easy way for your children to memorize Scripture, see how we did this in Commandments before Playing.
