Fashion - Beauty - Misikko Pink Flat Iron-Giveaway

My oldest daughter, Rachel (22) is a licensed cosmetologist. She was home visiting this past weekend and helped me with a new review item. I received a Professional Flat Iron from Misikko. This salon quality styling tool has a retail price of $204.99. It is currently on sale for: $119.99. Rachel looked this over, and then used it to style her sister Amy's hair. I am going to separate this post into three sections. 1. Details about the product. 2. Pictures of Rachel using the product; and some advice she shares. 3. How you can enter for a chance to win one of these for yourself!

1. Product and Company Details.

Misikko offers a variety of beauty products on their site, such as: a "Chi flat iron," "Babyliss flat iron,” and a "best flat iron." I received the Hana Professional Flat Iron 1" Pink Edition for review purposes. The iron came with a travel pouch, heat proof mat, and a tin case. There were a few extras as well - A red pouch containing emery boards and a bottle of hand sanitizer. There was also a lovely plastic white rose! The entire package was elegantly presented.

2. Rachel using the product.


We set up a desk for a work area. The pink mat is where you put the iron so it doesn't burn anything. A normal setting for a salon iron is 450 Degrees. This is so the stylist can work quickly. The nice thing about the Misikko iron is that it offers 4 possible settings, from 230 degrees to 450 degrees. There is even a chart in the accompanying booklet suggesting temperature settings for different hair types.

Rachel used a "dime sized" amount of "shine shield" on Amy's hair. (A 2 oz. bottle came with the kit.) This is essential before using the iron so the heat doesn't damage the hair. It is fine to use the flat iron daily, as long as you use the shine shield first.


Next, Rachel pinned up Amy's hair so she could work with 1/2" sections. Rachel used the 370 degree setting. Straightening the hair makes it smooth and takes out any frizz. This works for both curly or straight hair. Salons in our area charge between $15 - $50 for this service.

Rachel was delighted to hear she gets to keep this iron! She will take it home and use it at work in the salon. The stylish pink color is fun and fashionable. The pink travel case makes it easy for her to carry to-and-from work.
