A Quiet Morning

Evening Glory

I have been up since 6 a.m today. I sat in my favorite chair, near the window and read one of my books. I have been trying to keep the lights off and use electricity less and less. I want a quiet, uncluttered life where I can focus on what is most important. I plan to organize my Amish books and begin reading them again. They are inspiring!

I will also go through all the sermons I have on CD and attempt to listen to at least one each day. I have always wanted to do that, but never got into the right routine to make it part of my day. I have sermons by John MacArthur, Charles Stanley, Dr. John R. Rice, Dr. Curtis Hudson and many more. I have more than enough to listen to one every single day of the year! When that is not enough, I can listen to sermons on the computer. There are many free sources of sermons, including places like sermonaudio.com

It is still very quiet here. I am enjoying a peaceful, cool Vermont morning. In a few minutes, I will drink some tea and pick out a pretty outfit for the day. When I walk away from this computer, I will go right back to my little chair and read in silence and I will be grateful for the gift of another day at home.

Blessings

I absolutely LOVE your blog. Every time I read a post from you I feel peaceful, calm and inspired. I love being a homebody and I HATE to go out. My biggest challenge is having peaceful days with 6 children demanding my time. I love them dearly but 3 of them are under the age of 6. Makes for some tiring days :-) I know it's a season - and a season that I love but I like to come and visit your peaceful home every chance I get!
