Late Night Housewifery

Clearing Skies

I baked a chocolate cake tonight. The family has been busy and active around me. I spent the last few hours cleaning, doing laundry, washing dishes and listening to gospel music. Then I sat down for a break while Amy (15) told me about her evening. She came home late from a church activity. Nana and Grandpa had taken her to a missionary meeting. She had lots of stories for me!

Earlier, I read the Bible with John (13) and then read him a story from the "Uncle Arthur" books. These are heartwarming, faith building family stories that we dearly love.  Now everyone has gone to bed. I am finishing up my evening homemaking tasks.  Then I will look around the house. . .  shut off the bright lights, and then praise God in my heart for a lovely home and all my precious blessings.

Have a wonderful night!
