Family Friendly Movie - Giveaway

Movie (DVD) - Homeless for the Holidays

Brought to you by - Bridgestone Multimedia Group

Family Approved - Winner of five dove awards!

Jack Baker is a husband and father of two children. He works 70 hours a week as a corporate executive. Things are going well until one day, through no fault of his own, he loses his job. His comfortable middle class life starts to crumble all around him.  In a difficult economy, he has trouble finding a new job. Eventually he finds work in a fast food restaurant. But it's not enough.  Bills are piling up. Just before Christmas, his house is foreclosed.

Things have to change in order to get this family back on track. They are drawn closer together through hardship. There are so many valuable lessons in this endearing movie. This is a wholesome story which offers a light tough of humor, drama and some tugging at the heartstrings. I loved it! I watched it twice. I even cried!

This charming movie was extremely well done. I am impressed, and highly recommend it!

After marriage, my own traditions changed. We spent holidays through the years with his family or mine. Lately we have been spending Christmas Day at home. We ask family who are near to visit with us here.

This sounds like a good movie! One of our favorite traditions is singing through some of the old hymns which recall Christ's birth.

Our favorite Christmas tradition is that we made a cross out of 2 old pieces of wood and put nails at the ends. We decorate it with lights, garland and strings of pearls. We put it up in a tree stand holder. Very different and very special.

Every year our whole family goes to cut down our Christmas tree together. We've even managed to schedule it the last couple of years so the older boys that no longer live at home can make it - it's that strong of a tradition!

If I win you can contact me at my blog :-)

Love your blog!

Our favorite tradition is always attending Christmas Mass! But we also have an "open house" each year where we sing carols with family and read all of the Christmas Classics we can get our hands on!

We have a lot of Christmas traditions but one that's closely related to this post is digging out all our Christmas movies to watch. Every year, we like to add at least one new movie to the collection. :) This one looks great.

One of our favorite things we do during the Christmas season is celebrate Advent. We have special family worship times while setting a new piece in our nativity each day. It is my favorite time of the year!

We are in the rocess of making our own family traditions with our small children. I like the idea of getting each child a new Chritsmas ornmentevery year or making them. Then when thy get married give them to them for their own tree.

My favorite Christmas tradition is our advent devotions. We use an Advent Calendar, the Jotham Trilogy books by Arnold Ytreeide, and we learn a new Christmas carol each year. Every night we update the Advent Calendar, read a chapter of our devotional fiction book, sing our carol, and pray as a family. :)

My favorite tradition is watching Christmas movies with family; especially ones I watched as a child. My favorite is It's A Wonderful Life because it was one of my mother's favorites.

One of our favorite Christmas traditions is on Christmas Eve, I make each one of us our own pan pizza crust and I have all the toppings out in bowls. Everyone puts as much on their pizza as they like. My kids all love this. It's the only time of year we do it and they really look forward to it.

Mel said...

My favorite Christmas tradition....oh, that's a hard one; I love them all....but I have to say, I love decorating the tree, remembering all the memories we've made through different ornaments. All with old Christmas music playing in the background.:)

Our fam tradition is decorating homemade cut out cookies-we always have a couple of goofy ones in there and just looking around the table whilst even the 20 yr olds are giggling and frosting and eating broken pieces just warms my heart. Ah.....

Never heard of this movie-it sounds good!

Thanks!
