Getting Ready to Face the Family

Early in the morning, before the sun comes up, I am reading my bible, praying and getting the house in order for another day. It takes a tremendous amount of effort to keep myself in a godly, serving frame of mind. It takes a lot of sacrifice and discipline, but when I listen to inspiring music, and read inspiring literature, the joy and reward that comes from such a sacrifice is the most precious thing in the world.

Today, are you getting ready to face your family? Will they be comforted by your loving presence? Will their morning grumpiness fade away in the shadow of your cheerfulness?

This morning, I listened to one of my favorite songs, "Without Him." It was from the Gospel Hour. They were paying tribute to 90 year old Eva Mae LeFevre. She got married at 17 and lived a godly life. She was an old-time gospel singer with her family. In this tribute, her son Mylon, in his 60's, said he was proud to be her son. He told her, "You're a wonderful godly Mother."

She died in 2009, less than 2 years after this tribute was recorded. Eva was a classy, kind lady. And I want to be just like her.

After watching this program, and getting my heart in order, I am ready to face my family this morning.

Blessings
Mrs. White

Just want I needed this morning, Mrs. White, to listen to Mylon LeFevre sing "Without Him". My husband and I were introduced to the Lefevres through the Gaither Homecoming DVDs.

Thank you so much ♥

another great post!

Like you, I enjoy getting up Early before my family and preparing for the day. I just LOVE that quiet time in the morning! Unfortunately, I not get up early this morning. I was up LATE last night (until almost midnight) working on unpacking book boxes and organizing our school room. I spent a lot of time organizing my teacher supply cabinet. So, I woke up very later and missed the prepartion time today. It makes a huge difference in my day!!!!
