Bright and Cheerful at Home

Panier de Fleurs

I stayed up late last night cleaning the living room. I vacuumed, cleaned the hearth and polished the table. It looks lovely! This summer, I hope Mr. White will paint the room so it looks bright and cheerful!

I rested for most of the day. I also worked on my Mother's Hope Journal. I put several pictures in the binder, of each of my five children. I chose happy pictures of them smiling and being adorable. I will add more later. I also printed out a beautiful painting and quote I found for mothers.  I put this on the first page of my binder. It is precious!

A few minutes ago, I was working on an article. When I was just about finished, Mr. White came in the door. He placed an item beside me on a little table. Then he walked away. He had bought me my favorite drink - a ginger ale.  I jumped right up and gave him a grateful hug.  He smiled. Home is a happy place when everyone is thoughtful.

I have been sick and in pain for most of the week, but am much better. I think it was a forced rest that really refreshed me. As soon as the pain was gone, I was cheerful and back to my homemaking. It was a pleasant break.

I have a little more housework to do and then I will stop for the evening.  It will be calm and quiet here. And it will be lovely.

Blessings
Mrs. White

I haven't been following your blog for very long, maybe a month, but I so love the posts you share. They truly are encouraging for me, the way you write inspires me in my home-making. Instead of saying things like "I wish" or "I want...", you say things like "I will"- what an inspiration that is for me. I have truly enjoyed your blog and always get so excited when I get an email saying that there is a new post up.

Thanks,
Julianne :)
