Morning Visit

Shady Grove

The snow has almost melted, here in Vermont. The green grass is staring to appear. I can even see our spring flowers coming up out of the ground! I am excited for spring!

This week, I have been reading Candace Cameron Bure's new book, Reshaping it all. I love it! I will be giving away a copy of it next week.  Are you going to watch her latest movie on Television tomorrow night? It is called, "Truth Be Told" and will be on at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.  I will have one of the children tape it for me so I can have it to watch at any time. I trust Candace's judgement and expect it to be a great family movie. Erin at $5 dinners had a great interview with Candace.  I hope you can read her post when you get a chance.

Yesterday, I watched an old episode of The Waltons. The family was doing major spring cleaning. They emptied out the entire living room and painted all the walls. Then everything was freshened up and put back in place. They also cleaned out kitchen cabinets and washed everything.  That reminded me of the old days, when people would whitewash their houses!  Spring cleaning after a long winter is so important. I think my heavy cleaning is going to last for months. This is a big house and there is much to do! I want some of the walls painted, but mostly I want to vacuum and scrub every corner. I'll have to take my time, so I will do one or two things each day.

It is a lovely morning. We have our wood stove going so everything is cozy. I cleaned the kitchen last night before I went to bed. It is nice to wake up to a tidy house!  The family will be waking up very soon. It will be a delightful day!

I LOOOOVVVVEEEE the Waltons. I am getting in the cleaning mode-by necessity, but I am looking forward to the results.

I love the Waltons! It seems like you clean so much that you wouldn't have to do spring cleaning!
