At Mother's House

I fondly remember my childhood home.  I felt secure and happy there. My mother was an excellent homemaker.  She and my father provided us with a happy home.  It was an older house near the ocean in a suburban town in Massachusetts. We had a large throw rug over linoleum in our living room. Our television set was built into a pretty piece of furniture.  There was a cozy fireplace which kept us warm.

My parents were married for 50 years before they both went home to Heaven.  They set an excellent example of family, marriage and Christian living.   It is lovely to think about our childhood home at Mother's house.

Today, I am the mother of five grown children and a grandmother of eight.  My house has become the place for the children to come home to.  I want to be that same example of being a good wife, mother and grandmother to my own children. With this in mind, I put together a new book called, "At Mother's House."

The front cover of the book has a picture of our front porch here at our Vermont home.  It looks like a "shabby" old home with wildflowers growing by the stairs.  We live humbly on a small income.  In these pages I share essays from my own life and articles to encourage the Christian housewife.

There are 40 small chapters. The book is paperback with 122 pages.  About half of the book contains posts from right here on the blog over the last year. The other half is taken from a private newsletter I write, "Letters from the Estate."

Some of the chapters are:

"Poor and Pretty Living" (Homemaking on a Small Income)

"The Money Packets" (Teaching young adults to manage money)

"The Children's Prayers"  (Teaching little ones to pray)

"A Special Kitchen"  (Traditional work in the kitchen)

"Fresh Housekeeping"  (Being a good housekeeper)

"A Church Diet for the Family"  (The way it was, and what we continue to need)

"An Afternoon walk at the Estate" (Daily life at our house)

. . .and much more.

If you are seeking the old paths and need advice on being a peaceful mother and housewife, with the Lord as the foundation of your home, this book will be an encouragement.

"At Mother's House"  is available for sale at Amazon.

If you feel led, I hope you will help me spread the word.  Also,  I would appreciate it very much if you would write a review on Amazon.

Thank you for your continued support and encouragement!

Blessings
Mrs. White

Mrs. White, I purchased a copy of your brand new book. I also have just posted a product review for it. As with your other books that I own I find them refreshing and enjoyable to read.

Would you mind sharing with us your age? I am guessing you are a younger woman which I find encouraging that you hold high Godly standards! I like that.
