I read that whenever I need a kick in the pants in the homemaking accountability department. ;-)The Momma Chronicleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13277868381528890409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4718905863879655459.post-48629622831640042302010-12-01T20:32:24.233-05:002010-12-01T20:32:24.233-05:00I am a 56 year old who LOVES the Little House book...I am a 56 year old who LOVES the Little House books. I re-read them every year. I have worn out two sets and am on my third. I love the illustrations and the fact they were drawn with black crayon to give them that older, rustic feel.
I would have loved to live with the Ingalls family. My own was much different but when I read those books I feel like I am part of the family.

Enjoy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4718905863879655459.post-21293287025878108392010-12-01T18:29:01.403-05:002010-12-01T18:29:01.403-05:00It sounds like you have a great plan in motion! We had an opportunity a year or two back to review either that or Further Up, Further In on C. S. Lewis' Narnia books. It was a very difficult decision, but we opted for Narnia. Now I would like to have the Prairie Primer. :)Michelle Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08447079002738068749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4718905863879655459.post-66820103737478187282010-12-01T17:30:24.461-05:002010-12-01T17:30:24.461-05:00If I could do it all over I would do what the Swan...If I could do it all over I would do what the Swann family did-all 10 children had their high school diplomas from American School Correspondence by 11 years old(book-No Regrets). The high school diploma took them 18 months. They homeschooled year round and took off weekends, New Years Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas etc.,-any day the father had off. They worked 8:30-11:30 and in the afternoon. I read an article in Readers Digest years ago about how it is difficult for teens to go to bed early and wake early. I saw that with all 6 of mine. My 4 sons liked Farmer Boy(set in NY) and my 2 daughters liked the first book of the Little House series the best. We weren't fans of the tv series.Tarynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07322888339057936230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4718905863879655459.post-7154946255396293152010-12-01T13:52:14.717-05:002010-12-01T13:52:14.717-05:00Looks like you have some fun review items to work ...Looks like you have some fun review items to work on!Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14952931228489764783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4718905863879655459.post-5834537572018231032010-12-01T12:59:10.407-05:002010-12-01T12:59:10.407-05:00We too are struggling to keep our work going. This...We too are struggling to keep our work going. This time of year can bring such a relaxed feeling about it that all anyone wants to do is sit in front of the wood burner and read or sew. Not bad things, but it's not keeping up with our schedule as I would like.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00444896414475893411noreply@blogger.com
