See- n -Read Reading tool is designed to make reading easier. It is a small transparent card with an opening which highlights whatever passage you are reading. Here are some examples:

The book size reader is 5 1⁄2” x 3”. It is great for helping students follow along while they are reading. I used this with one of my students. He found the tool very helpful.

Other possible uses:
1. College students often write reports, study textbooks and work late into the night. They need to proofread and edit their work. I think this reading tool would benefit them.
2. Teachers who need to highlight a section of words for their students.
The Company sent me a packet of research information to back up their product. I read every single word. Most of it went over my head. (smiles) As a regular homeschooling mother, I tend to simply use a product and don't worry about research. This one worked great for us. We will continue to use it on a regular basis.
There is also an e-reader version for your computer. I downloaded this and it is a virtual version of the original. You can move it around on your computer screen to help you read on, or off-line.
Overall, it is a good product and I am impressed. The prices are reasonable and affordable.

I liked these, too - especially for my son who has had eye surgeries.
We use that text for reading, too! The boys love reading about how things used to be.
I'm glad to see this type of tool being accepted in use. Our daughter had a focusing problem when she was 8-10 years old causing headaches, pressure behind her eyes, and an inability to concentrate and her physicians refused to allow her to use a 3 x 5 card as a guide, saying it would cause her eyes to be lazy. Instead they recommended bifocals and eye exercises. Although she loves reading and good books, she's been plagued ever since with headaches and nausea if she reads too much. Her doctor now says she has a very strange problem of 'over-focusing' when trying to read. I think she would have been better off if everyone would have just let Mama give her a 3 x 5 card!!! :)
This tool is a great idea, however, as it allows some visibility for print above and below the line being read to help train the eye to see what is in focus within the context of the page. I wish I had thought of this! I may get one for her even now!!
