Making Things Pleasant at Home

Peeling Potatoes

I like to create a beautiful environment around me. But I have to use the limited resources I already have. So, cleaning and organizing is the main way I am able to keep things pleasant here at home.

If I open the shades and draw back the drapes, I can see the beautiful landscape and sky. I will wash the windows to help brighten things up.

If I sweep the hearth and polish the furniture, things look much prettier. These little tasks only take a few minutes but they make an enormous difference in the way things look and that also affects my mood.

I am looking forward to spring time when I can spend my early mornings sitting on the front porch.  But for now, I will enjoy the limited time I have near the hearth. These familiar places are part of the comforts of home.

What are you doing today to make your home pleasant?

Absolutely! Nothing feels better than a clean, clutter free, open environment that's inviting regardless of whether you have a few pretties or more. Great post!
