Afternoon Walk in the Parlour

Women Play with Young Girl in Entryway of Plantation House

After an early dinner, it was time to entertain baby.   The family headed off to do pleasant things, and I got to be with baby.  I put him in the carriage and had him "follow" me around while I cleaned.  Then we had our little walk in the parlour.  I set the carriage on "recline" and baby laid down.  I started to briskly walk him through the rooms.  He immediately sat up, reached for the carriage - tray and excitedly hung on (for dear life)!    Back and forth we went through the kitchen and parlour.  Anytime I would catch a glimpse of his sweet little face, he was smiling and happy!

As I walked, I prayed for him and for the family.  We walked and walked through the rooms while old gospel music, by J. D. Sumner, played quietly from the kitchen radio.

I started to notice the tablecloth needed straightening, or a dish needed to be brought to the kitchen.  The next time I passed by, I would fix something or grab an item with one hand and bring it with us to put away. Baby loved it when I cleaned while we walked!

It finally dawned on me that perhaps the reason I have so much trouble with my tired, swelling hands, is because I am always prettying up something while pushing and turning a carriage at the same time.  I will just rest more later on. . . Nevertheless, it is worth it to entertain baby with my cleaning and walking antics.

Blessings
Mrs. White

"Father God, I ask you to bring relief to Mrs. White and her swelling hands. I ask you to bring healing to her body from the cellular level. Restore her youth, vigor and strength. I ask it in Jesus' Name. Amen."

Blessings to you this Sunday morning. I'm home with a sick child. Already spent time with Bible, a bit of reading, now it's time to make some lunch. Taco Salad.

Blessings,

It's so wonderful to hear from you again. You are the epitome of the "prefect" Christian woman. I ordered your homemaking book from Amazon and cherish it as I do you.
Love,
Stephanie

Have you ever tried taking the herb tumeric for the swelling in your hands? There are several good recipes for making tumeric milk online--I honestly think it could help you. In the meantime, I will be praying for your relief.

Dear Mrs. White, I haven't had swollen feet in a while until today and I had to go hunting for my Judy Lindberg McFarland book to look up what I used years ago for edema or water retention. Hands can swell as well. It is Vitamin B6 160mg-200mg. I just used the economical brand from the discount store and had excellent results.
Hope this helps. I know the swelling can be uncomfortable.

God bless,
d

Hi Mrs. White! What a blessing to enjoy your little one although you are having problems with your hands. I hope it took your mind off of it for a while?

What wonderful blog-friends you have! They care for you so much and offer their ideas to help you. I wish I had some ideas myself, but I will continue to pray for you.

Blessings,
Ceil

I was speaking with my health mentor, and I mentioned your swelling hands, weariness, etc. She said that perhaps you should be tested for Epstein-Barr or Hepatitis, as many of those symptoms are the same. She also recommended upping your intake of garlic, and decreasing the 5 whites--potatoes, flour, pasta, rice and sugar. I hope that these suggestions help you, for you are indeed a precious lady, and you insprie so many of us to be better wives and mothers.

Good morning, I have often put a grandbaby in our little umbrella stroller to keep them with me but also easy to move them and secured as I moved from room to room as I did my housework. It is nice to know someone else uses a buggy in the house too.
