I'm glad that you have found a little nook to breath in, I sneak away to a rocking chair corner and just recover enough to keep going. I hope Mr White is doing as well as he can do, and that you will have some fun with your guests. Even though life is like a roller coaster of living I know that a hug from a grandchild can bring such joy to the heart. He was diagnosed with PPMS January 5 of this year and we are in the process of moving from a home with a lot of stairs to a home on one floor. I've been discouraged at times with the changes our lives are taking but was encouraged to read in your post that it is an adjustment and that it takes time. It is so good to know at these times that God is in control, that nothing ever catches Him off guard and that He will take it all and work it out for our good! olderandwiserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17988048366899947476noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4718905863879655459.post-26781082906128969372018-06-24T12:41:12.949-04:002018-06-24T12:41:12.949-04:00I am glad to hear that you have found a place and ...I am glad to hear that you have found a place and time to write. My husband became disabled from a heart attack he had on 12/27/16. He was without oxygen to his brain for 7 minutes and has a brain injury. We now live on half our income on disability but God has been so good to us and we lack for nothing. Like you we have settled into being content and comfortable wt home. I really like having him here every day and have adapted to his special needs and taking care of him. We have found joy in doing things like going to a nearby lake for picnics and free things that we had not done in years. Just this week, a rocking chair in my bedroom which has basically been ignored except for the times it’s used as a clothes rack ;-) has come alive. I nested three small mismatched but coordinating side tables beside it and placed my bibles and devotional and notebooks and other books I’m reading on top. Suddenly I have a lovely new space to read (and write a little bit) and have a cup of tea or coffee. I’m enjoying it immensely and look forward to spending some time each day in my rocking chair.
Jessinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4718905863879655459.post-55982242991149729002018-06-23T22:38:28.099-04:002018-06-23T22:38:28.099-04:00It is so good to hear from you, Mrs.White.I do hop...It is so good to hear from you, Mrs.White.I do hope things continue to improve for your family. His mother is in late stages and his grandfather died from it. There is no cure and a 50% chance of our daughter/grandchildren getting it. It does not skip a generation but out of a family of say 5 three will not get the gene and 2 will. He is currently still working but i am knuckling down to save hard as i doubt he will be able to in another 2 years. My hope and trust and faith is in the Lord to help us both cope with what is to come. I send you a hug from one wife of a disabled husband to another. Thank you for sharing. The round of treatments which I've been taking for the last 13 months has left me worn out. Just two more IV treatments in July! I'll have surgery again this fall, then I hope we can settle down into a quiet routine of doctor visits, tests, etc. I know that I must take a pill for at least 5 years. Then, I hope to be declared cancer free. Remission is a good thing for now!

I'm glad you've found a place of comfort and a place for your desk. Balance work and rest well my dear.

Sincerely,
Laura Lane
Harvest Lane Cottage,
Carthage, Missouri, USAMrs. Laura Lanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17334381585683324912noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4718905863879655459.post-79524091261116138382018-06-23T10:37:00.029-04:002018-06-23T10:37:00.029-04:00I'm so glad to see that you are writing again ...I'm so glad to see that you are writing again Mrs.White. We have had a rough few years of trials ourselves. I am sorry to hear of your husbands disability. God is faithful. I just started writing a bit, updating my story , When Queens Ride By. I continued the popular story of the struggling housewife. I do love writing some encouraging entries. Please visit. Your family will be in my prayers and I did think of you the other day as I was in your home state.
Blessings,
Suzanne xxSuzannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11016058828515830560noreply@blogger.com
