A place to rest by the back river at our home in Vermont. |
We left on Monday for a medical trip. The scenery was beautiful. The leaves are beginning to change all over New England. When we reached the hospital, the patient (one of our grown sons) had tests and treatment. Later we were so grateful to rest for the night at a hotel after such a tiring journey.
The next morning, as we were heading back home, the patient was so discouraged. Yet there was a sense of peace all around us. There were hymns and old gospel playing on the CD player in our car. The mountain view, and the beauty of the day, brought us comfort. By the time we were halfway home, the patient had been cheered up and was more positive. All would be well.
Our next medical trip is coming up in a couple of days. We are doing our best to prepare for this expense. It is a joy and a blessing as we know the Lord goes with us and is with us through it all. He will provide.
In other news, I have completed my new book project. I expect to announce its release in a day or two. Thank you for your continued interest, prayers, and encouragement!
Blessings

Dear Mrs. White, how uplifted I am by your post. That even amidst the darkness there is light. I look forward to seeing your Autumn trees. We don't have that here in California until maybe November! May God richly bless you and your family.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this update, Mrs. White. Yes, with Jesus, we can always find shelter and protection from the storms of life. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mrs White for the update, I am praying for your patient, and for you. I am always returning to your blog to get myself refocused on the simple but necessary things that truly matter in life. So many people around my town have serious health and life problems. I am praying for them because maybe no one else is - even them. It makes me grateful for the little problems and hopeful in the face of the bigger ones. As I write this my car is sitting outside overheated. Worry threatens but God has a plan. Cars come and go - people's souls are on my mind more and more as the world closes into the final act. Love your blog so much, Jen
ReplyDeletePeople’s souls are on my mind also. Please keep praying. None of my family knows Jesus, and I have prayed for years. Jesus says, “always pray and do not give up.”
DeleteMedical issues can be so very discouraging and draining - emotionally, physically and financially. I know exactly what you and your family is going through as I was in the same situation with my husband for many years before treatments finally worked. But it sounds like you are all doing the best you can and relying on God's help to cope. Keep up your strong faith and know that many are praying for you.
ReplyDeleteYour posts are always a blessing. Thanks for your prayers and concern while my dearest and myself were so sick. Getting better each day. Love and hugs
