October Snow in Vermont
When I woke up this morning, I saw snow all over the ground. I was so excited! The snow is still falling gently over the landscape. The sun has not entirely come up yet, so it is still a bit dark out. I took the above picture just a few minutes ago. It is part of our back property.
When it snows out, I am inspired to cook and bake. I want to read near the hearth and just stay home. It puts me in the best of moods.
Hope you have a wonderful day!

Amazing! It would be nice and cozy to sit around the hearth with a cup of hot tea, cocoa, or coffee.
ReplyDeleteIt's something I can only imagine at his point in my life. I'll never leave Florida for a colder climate. My computer screen says its 83 degrees right now in our area, central Florida. The "low" tonight will be 64.
I know it must be beautiful with snow covering the landscape. I have seen snow, and played in it, when I lived in other states. But some kids here in Florida have never seen snow!
That is a beautiful picture.
ReplyDeleteWe have snow up high (around 5000 feet) but not at our elevation (2500 ft) yet. I think it is beautiful, and if I can stay home, I like it. If I have to go somewhere, I am not so enthusiastic! But I praise God that He knows what we need and provides it, regardless of what I think!
I see snow as a gift! A way to slow down and celebrate the times when I could stay home and just enjoy the rythm of my home.
ReplyDeleteI come from a tropical country...so snow is still to me a novelty that I just enjoy! :-)

Wow! How Cool!!! It is so hard for me to imagine snow in October!! It is still so Hot here! Thursday it was 89!!! but it cooled off a lot this weekend with highs in the 70s and lows around 50!! Enjoy your snowy day at home around the hearth!!
ReplyDeleteActually, I am glad I no longer live there! ha!
ReplyDeleteThe snow is lovely. Thanks for adding me to your feed. I added your blog to my feed also. :)
ReplyDeleteMrs White, I am saying this OUT LOUD....."Before the sun was up?"
ReplyDeleteBless your heart. That to me seems like the middle of the night!! But I'm working on it. Being an early bird. It's not coming easy and it looks like from where I sit right now it won't be tomorrow morning either. It's nearly midnight. So I'm off to bed because you have inspired me to do so.
Enjoy the snow and the warmth of your hearth my friend.
