Godly Homemaking wisdom for a peaceful and joyous home life. . .. "Faint not; the miles to heaven are but few and short." -Samuel Rutherford
"Our fair morning is at hand;
the day star is near the rising,
and we are not many miles from home.
What matter, then, of ill-entertainment
in the smoky inns of this worthless world?
We are not to stay here,
and we shall be dearly welcome
to Him to whom we are going."
- Samuel Rutherford, 1600's -

Amazing! It would be nice and cozy to sit around the hearth with a cup of hot tea, cocoa, or coffee.
It's something I can only imagine at his point in my life. I'll never leave Florida for a colder climate. My computer screen says its 83 degrees right now in our area, central Florida. The "low" tonight will be 64.
I know it must be beautiful with snow covering the landscape. I have seen snow, and played in it, when I lived in other states. But some kids here in Florida have never seen snow!
That is a beautiful picture.
We have snow up high (around 5000 feet) but not at our elevation (2500 ft) yet. I think it is beautiful, and if I can stay home, I like it. If I have to go somewhere, I am not so enthusiastic! But I praise God that He knows what we need and provides it, regardless of what I think!
I see snow as a gift! A way to slow down and celebrate the times when I could stay home and just enjoy the rythm of my home.
I come from a tropical country...so snow is still to me a novelty that I just enjoy! :-)

Wow! How Cool!!! It is so hard for me to imagine snow in October!! It is still so Hot here! Thursday it was 89!!! but it cooled off a lot this weekend with highs in the 70s and lows around 50!! Enjoy your snowy day at home around the hearth!!
Actually, I am glad I no longer live there! ha!
The snow is lovely. Thanks for adding me to your feed. I added your blog to my feed also. :)
Mrs White, I am saying this OUT LOUD....."Before the sun was up?"
Bless your heart. That to me seems like the middle of the night!! But I'm working on it. Being an early bird. It's not coming easy and it looks like from where I sit right now it won't be tomorrow morning either. It's nearly midnight. So I'm off to bed because you have inspired me to do so.
Enjoy the snow and the warmth of your hearth my friend.
