Spiritual Duties
Buy at AllPosters.com
I can just imagine having quiet times each day, sitting near a cozy fireplace. This is a form of worship and fellowship with the Lord.
In the old days, everyone would have set times for Family Altar or Family worship. Most did this twice a day - once in the morning and once in the evening.
Sadly, this practice has mostly fallen away.
To help, in some small way, I have designed a study and invite you to join.
I am using the book "Stepping Heavenward" by Elizabeth Prentiss. The program includes daily assignments:
1. Bible reading.
2. Reading Entries from the book.
3. Prayer.
4. Listening to Godly music or singing hymns.
and 5. Writing entries in your own private journal to help chart your spiritual progress.
There will be a prize given to one participant at the close of the program.
Membership closes in 2 days. Won't you join us?

Thanks for the reminder. When you brought it up on the virtuous sisters group I had planned on doing it. Question. My twins are 11, do you think they are old enough to read it with me and get something out of it. I've not read it yet.
Tricia,
I am sure they would enjoy it.
Nice mother / daughter time!

Thanks. I'll include them then.
Both my younger daughter and myself are looking forward to joining in.
Oh it looks like I'm a week late! I just heard about this study through someone mentioning it on a mothering board. Is it too late to join? I've read this book before.
Thank you!
Jen, I am so sorry. Membership is closed and we already started. But I will be offering it again sometime next year.
Thanks so much for your interest!
Blessings

No problem :) Good to know you will be offering it in the future - I will keep my eye out ;)
