This morning's view of the grounds at our home in Vermont. |
There is a great deal of fog or haze in the air. It is blocking the view of the sky this morning. I wanted to walk outside to get a better view. We have had air quality warnings these past few days. I have not been feeling well lately and wondered if this has contributed to my weariness. But as I walked out in the beautiful fresh air, I felt such a sense of peace.

Little gardens close to the bench beside our river. |
It is such a beautiful day with the birds chirping and the cool mountain air for refreshment. I am much too tired to attend church today, which is a disappointment. But I am so grateful for the opportunity to take a brief walk on the grounds before going indoors for a long rest.
Even though it seems like we are covered by some strange haze in the sky, I feel safe and protected. The sound of the birds and the gentleness of the wind bring comfort.
Yesterday, I was feeling frightened about my health. But I am no longer worried. At this moment, I can hear the church bells ringing, from down the country road near our house. All is well. The Lord is good.
Blessings

Sometimes a stroll in the woods or in a garden can help to build up the spirit.
We are so blessed by birdsong. My dear husband installed the clothesline of my dreams, the old-fashioned pulley line. Hanging the laundry brings me joy. I can hear the birds singing and hear the soft wind. The quiet and peaceful surroundings are sure to give you a lift in spirit.May you be restored to good health.
Maybe, the haze you are experiencing is because of the wildfires burning in Canada? I do hope you feel better soon, Mrs. White. God bless!
Dear Mrs. White I do hope you feel better soon. There's nothing like a walk outdoors to refresh the soul. I live in a residential neighborhood with a marina and park about a mile away. I don't have the energy today to walk so far, but I do believe the breeze from the ocean is keeping our air clean. I think I'll have a sit in our tiny garden and enjoy the birds. Blessings to you on this Lord's Day.
I hope you feel better soon. We have Canadian smoke making things a little hazy way down here to Delaware, so that might be the culprit. andrea
Blessings to you, Mrs. White. May healing come to you in Jesus name. Amen. ~d
Praying for your good health, Mrs. White! And for your family!
One more thing- my husband tells me that one of the plants that grows after a fire is mullein, an herb which is good for the respiratory system- https://www.webmd.com/diet/health-benefits-mullein-tea -- I have mullein in my herb cabinet and the tea works well for coughs and exposure to bad air.
I'm so glad the fear has been removed, thank the Lord. What a beautiful description of your property there...The Sahara dust has visited you there perhaps?
A hug. ~Amelia
