An eventful week...

Godly Homemaking wisdom for a peaceful and joyous home life. . .. "Faint not; the miles to heaven are but few and short." -Samuel Rutherford
"Our fair morning is at hand;
the day star is near the rising,
and we are not many miles from home.
What matter, then, of ill-entertainment
in the smoky inns of this worthless world?
We are not to stay here,
and we shall be dearly welcome
to Him to whom we are going."
- Samuel Rutherford, 1600's -

Once again, you have reminded us that it is much more rewarding to sit and relax,..after, we have finished the chores. I think it has something to do with a clear conscience (smile).
Have a lovely day! xo
I have been feeling pretty bad lately.. ready to just curl up and give into it.. but your post inspired me to do a few things.. dishes..tidy up.. before I sit with my book and tea. It does make relaxing so much more enjoyable!
Your posts are always so calming! x
Your word pictures make me feel like a guest in your home. Laziness is something I fight every day! Some minor health problems make it worse. But after pouring over your blog for the last month or so, I feel motivated to GET MOVING and make the best of our crowded little house as I can! I am reminded of my high calling, and I'm telling you, its exhausting--which is why laziness is so tempting!
Thanks so much for your inspiration!!
Inspirational post as I often encounter on your blog Mrs. White!
There is a definite feeling of contentment when all chores have been dealt with (and like you, I like to perform BEFORE anyone else is up!)
Blessings,
