You Remind Me So Much of Nana

I have had the most wonderful evening.... It is just after midnight (12:36 a.m.) and I have been cleaning for hours, enjoying myself.

First, I listened to old southern gospel music. Then I found some sermons and started to listen to those.

My Mother (who lives with us in an in-law apartment) came upstairs for a quick visit and she saw all the work I did in my livingroom. I gave her some food from my pantry.

"Mom," I said, "can you use some creamed corn?"

"How about a cake mix?" I gave her a few items and then walked her back downstairs to her section of the house.

My son (16) was still out with a friend. I was up waiting for him to come home. So I went to work on my kitchen. Just as happy as could be... I cleaned my sink, dishdrainer, floor and organized my counters.

Just a few minutes ago, my dear son walked through the door. He heard a sermon playing loudly in the background, "Path to Power and Usefulness" by A.W. Tozer. He nodded his head and smiled. I was in my apron, happily scrubbing my stove. He looked at me and said sweetly, "You remind me so much of Nana." Could I have gotten any better of a compliment than that??

Blessings

That sure is a beautiful term of endearment. It's good to hear of you keeping busy, and delighting in your housework. That's what I try to do, as it keeps the fear at bay.
