Ten Things a Housewife can do to Make Home Happy

It's a Wonderful Life, Donna Reed, James Stewart, 1946

1. Keep a Tidy Home.
2. Make comforting, good meals.
3. Dress Neatly (look pleasant).
4. Give everyone a charming, loving, welcoming smile.
5. Do not nag.
6. Do not complain.
7. Forgive- offer mercy and grace.
8. Have the patience of a Saint. (With God's help, you can do this one.)
9. Dwell on lovely thoughts.
10. Be content with all you have.

It can be a wonderful life, if we work hard at it each day.

Blessings,
Mrs. White

Wonderful list, Mrs. White! I love it! While you made your list specifically for housewives, I personally feel it could - and should - apply to anyone, including husbands and children!
Number 1 and Number 2 on your list could be prefaced with "Help with..."

I also think that, more than anything else, every Christian - man, woman, child - should be grateful for all that we have. We have so many blessings, even when we are in need at times. There is so much to be thankful for in life.

Thanks so much for this list! I am going to print it and place it where the whole family can see it every day as a reminder to all of us. :)

My saintly patience is severely lacking right now. Thanks for the reminders of my job, and Who can enable me to accomplish it.
