I just finished reading a few chapters in the Bible. It is getting late, but I want to do a little housework. I have been in pain all day and resting. . . I miss cleaning. I miss the work of making a home. . .
Sometimes, when I am in too much pain, I think about taking Tylenol, just to make the pain stop so I can have a normal life. But I don't. I would rather rest and avoid the medicine. After a few days, it always goes away. It gets better.
I will try to rest more often so I am not on my feet too much. That is when the pain comes. I can only do so much before I wear out.
I am sure I will be fine by tomorrow, but I just don't like missing out on homekeeping. It is a quiet, reflective art - to make and keep a home.
I think I will turn on some soothing Classical music and tidy up for a little while. Then I can rest, content and happy.
Tomorrow will be a better day.
Blessings,
Mrs. White

I'm so sorry that you're hurting and struggling right now. :( I know how you love to take care of your home and it's frustrating when you physically can't.
Praying for you. (((hugs)))
I'm so sorry to hear that you aren't able to keep your home, like you love to do. I've been feeling the same way lately, struggling with really bad morning sickness(or all day sickness as I call it) and dizziness from a heart condition. It gets frustrating not being able to keep our homes. Good luck and I hope you feel better!
Blessings!
I'm sorry you are not well and hope you feel better soon. If the Tylenol helps and you have no ill side effects from it, maybe you should take some. It's not like a strong presciption drug.
I have a lot of prescription pain meds such as Vicodin, Darvocet, Tramodol, etc, and I try to avoid those. But I'll pop a couple of Arthritis Strength Tylenol without batting an eye. I'm a big ol' wimp when it comes to unrelenting pain.
I read your words and I empathize. When I don't feel well, it is still almost impossible to pass by something that needs cleaning and not do something about it. On the days that I feel a little better, I often overdo it, and find myself two steps backward again. I'm always struggling to find a balance. I'll say a prayer for you, your health, and your peace of mind.
Praying that you will be pain free again soon! It is hard to not be able to do what we normally would.
I hope you are feeling better soon. May you sleep well tonight and feel much stronger in the morning.
Dear Mrs. White,
Thinking of you. Sometimes we just have to take time to rest.
God bless,

Take care of yourself Mrs. White. I pray each new day will bring healing.
What is wrong with taking Tylenol , if you feel better? It's not a sin to take even a prescription medicine. I had shoulder surgery last month & have been on Vicodin. The Dr. who did surgery says I also have arthritis. I'm 46. What is your ailment , if not offended by my asking. I like your blog just found it through $5 dinners blog & plan to read from start to finish. I'll be praying for you. I know what it is to be sick myself.Blessings,Lisa
So sorry this happens, Mrs. White! I can understand not wanting to take Tylenol all the time--I avoid medicines as much as possible. Have you ever looked into White Willow Bark? It is a natural pain killer.
I know exactly how you feel! I get that way with my health sometimes and actually miss keeping my home. This too shall pass my dear and I pray that all is well with you soon.
Hope that you are feelin better soon. I can certainly empathize with you and your desire to get back into a routine. IT's so hard to be laid up-- and it's easy to feel disheartened. May God lift up your soul and give you the needed rest.
