An Evening Visit

View of our Parlour from 2011

For the last month, I have been busy taking care of three of my grandchildren a great deal of the time.  They are very precious, and I don't mind how tiring the work can be.  But, I have not had much time to visit here.  Things are slowing down and I am getting more help around the house so I have been able to rest more.

I have a new book that has just been published. It will be ready for sale in a day or two. It is designed to encourage the Christian housewife.  I will announce it on the blog very soon.

Our wood stove is going, making our home nice and warm this evening in our rural Vermont village.  It is so pretty to look outside at the landscape, while staying warm indoors.

I am getting ready for Thanksgiving.  We are not sure who is coming to dinner, but I hope there will be a few extra guests.  A lot of people around the table makes it so much more festive.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

What a warm, cozy scene.
Is that your dining room? Very nice, with the wood stove burning and he glow of candles.

Things here are pretty quiet as well.
I wish you a joyous Thanksgiving with family and friends!

Congratulations on your new book. I am thinking of writing one, and I am a little overwhelmed by all the info out there about how to get it published! So kudos to you for not only writing books but getting them published too!
Your room looks so cozy. Blessings, Deborah

Praying you have a nice thanksgiving. You are such a blessing to your readers, Mrs. White. Looking forward to the new book. I have all but home economics so I will add the new one to my wish list as well! Slowly but surely...

Your home always looks so cozy. I'd love to see an updated photo of you, too. It's nice to put a face with a blog. Congratulations on your new book! Do you self-publish or have a company that does it?

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
