Free - A Lovely Old Fashioned Study for You

Bible and Roses

Elizabeth Prentiss
In October of 2009, I created a life transforming study. It is designed to help you have daily personal devotions. The format helps discipline us, using daily assignments like Prayer, Keeping a Journal,  Bible Reading, Listening to hymns (or gospel music) and reading portions from a wonderful book written in the 1800's by Elizabeth Prentiss.

This is a 90 day program and has been adapted for individual use. You can download a FREE copy of this, print it out, place it into a binder and get started!

Here is the link to the download. - The Prentiss Study.

Instructions:

1. After accessing the download, print out the 50 page document. Place this in a binder.

2. You will also need the following:

- Your Bible

- A copy of the 1800's book, Stepping Heavenward, by Elizabeth Prentiss. (This is a fictitious journal, which has inspired and changed women all over the world.)

- Filler paper to put in the back of the binder. (This is for the personal journaling of your spiritual life and growth in daily life, just like the author of the book.)

- Access to hymns or gospel music.

3.  You can do this individually. It is also ideal for use with mothers and teen daughters.

Enjoy!

Blessings
Mrs. White

Thank you very much for the links, Mrs. White! I downloaded the audio book as well as your study. I just finished reading through the Bible over the last 80 days and I was looking for another way to focus my study time and I think this will be perfect! :-)

Thank you very much for sharing! The timing of this is totally perfect. Next week, I'm having foot surgery so I'm going to download the items to iTunes; then on to my iPod. I have a 14 year old daughter who I think will enjoy this as well.

I know many are being blessed by your faithfulness to share outstanding resources within the body of Christ.

I've added you to my blog as well.

In His grip!

I downloaded the Guttenberg version and, though I got almost no sleep, read it from start to finish last night and today. Thank you for pointing me in that direction! I look forward to doing your study as well.

Thank you so much for the study! I was intrigued by your posting about Elizabeth Prentiss, so I looked her up, and found Stepping Heavenward on the Gutenberg website. I downloaded and read it over a few days, and I was absolutely amazed at the wealth of Biblical teaching in this simple novella. I have downloaded the study, and I will commence the work this coming Monday. I live in the mountains, and have no internet there, so I am thrlled that God has provided your blog as a way to refresh my own personal walk with Him. Thank you again, and my He richly bless you and your family.

Dear Mrs. White,

This is wonderful! I had no idea this existed. I was doing a Blogger search looking for people who like the Stepping Heavenward book and your profile came up. Then I saw this study on your sidebar! I am definitely going to use it and I thank you so much for sharing it.

One other reason I am so excited is that I just started a blog as well as a Facebook page entitled "Writings of Elizabeth Prentiss." I have started looking for people with whom to connect who might appreciate having quotes from her writings to read from time to time. So that's why I've been searching.

Do you mind if I put a link to your study on my new Facebook page? I won't do it unless you say it's okay. I will soon begin a list of links to put on the sidebar of the new blog and would like to put a link to your blog as well.

I am a homeschooling mom of a senior and the mom of a married daughter and nanna to two wonderful granddaughters. We also have a small family home business.

Thank you so very much.

Thank you, Mrs. White, for this sweet devotional... Though I've had the habit of regular devotion time, this has been a wonderful blessing. :)

I've printed out the first 10 pages of the study and will purchase the Stepping Heavenward book in some form on Thursday, when my husband's school money comes in.
