Back to Blogging Again

Flowers in Mrs. White's Kitchen

Today marks two months since I last visited here. I had hoped to return to blogging early this year.  We have had all kinds of trials since last November, but we are okay.  Health crises and urgent traveling have made it difficult for me to write here.   Things are getting better.  Early this year, our sixth grandchild was born!  We are so excited.  We feel very blessed.

It is very cold here and there is so much to do.  Last week, I had been traveling back from the city (a 2 hour drive) and I had to do the grocery shopping when I got home.  I knew I would have to carry heavy packages into the house. The wind was whipping cold freezing air, making the outdoors very difficult to endure.  It is in these moments when we have to tell ourselves, "toughen up!"  We have to "keep moving" and get the work done!  Once all has been accomplished, it is so wonderful to sit in a cozy house near the fireplace!

Tonight I made 2 batches of homemade pizza. Some I froze for later, the rest will feed the family.   I cleaned up all the mess and am looking forward to a good night's sleep.

Next week, I plan to get back to a regular routine of blogging.  I will try to write once a week.  Thank you for your patience, as I have been gone many weeks.  I hope all is well in your homes.

Blessings
Mrs. White

So nice to see you back again! Congratulations on the latest little blessing in the family! I am working hard in the Wisconsin farmhouse...our son decided, in the end, that he wishes to sell the farm and return to school. Trying to finish up the last of the necessary paint touch ups and clean up from the remodeling work we had done in the fall, all to get the farm listed by the end of this month. The bitter cold has left WI, I think that's what you have in VT now...but it is still cold when I go outside to put logs into the wood burning furnace that keeps the farmhouse heated! Earlier in the week I needed the indoor wood stove as well, it was so cold the outside furnace just couldn't get the house comfortable, much less warm enough to be able to paint! Welcome back to bloggyland, again, it's nice to hear from you here!
Blessings,
Lori

Mrs. White,
I'm always so happy when you return! I cannot imagine how cold it is there! We just had a "cold front" come in last night, which meant we went from 77 during the day, to the 40's by the evening. Texas is weird :)

I am still writing at A Million Skies, but would love for you to visit me on my new site, where I am writing the history of our old farmhouse.

It's called The White Front Porch (www.thewhitefrontporch.com)

Take care and stay warm!

Debbie

Welcome back! I too find myself often having to "encourage" myself to just get the housework done. It's always worth it when we can enjoy a well-kept house.

Congratulations on the new grandbaby! I have to press on many days and it always such a blessing to have all the work done and be able to rest. I often remind myself that God intended for us to work and be tired and then we are rewarded by rest and sleep. He is good!

Glad you are back and all is well . . I too struggle to write from my computer, so have found blogging from my cell phone a HUGE Blessing!! I take pics of anything and everything that catches my eye to share with my readers . . I also set in draft titles for any blog posts I think I should write in my down time (while laying in bed before I fall asleep) . . Many days this stockpile of posts saved as drafts in my email is all that keeps my blog going!!
~~{{hugs}}~~ and welcome back to the blogosphere!!!!!

Welcome back!

Reading your blog is the best way for me to be motivated and creative in my honorable calling as a Mimi for my pastor son and his wife and two precious daughters. I lost my beloved husband and our wonderful son moved in to help out and "take care of mom (me).
I have always delighted in my homemaking, even tho I'm not as productive as a true homesteads with making my own spices and such, but I love being home and ministering at the church to the other ladies. I am so blessed and you are one of my cherished blessing.

Thank you.
More. Clark
