Mother's Progress

Rural Roses

I was up in the middle of the night. There was a precious prodigal on the phone. The dear soul was weeping and weary. I encouraged her, advised her and prayed with her. She was better. Things were okay.  I thought of the hymn, "Amazing Grace," and hummed it to myself as I drifted off to sleep. I thought of how we all struggle with human nature and our own depravity. I am grateful for a Heavenly Father who forgives and offers grace. We can be made whole in His presence.

This morning, the sun is shining. My house is quiet and I have much work to do. I will do it cheerfully. I will take the time to read my Bible and I will pray. I will pray for my own progress in this life, and I will pray for the progress of the prodigals and my children.

It is a long road to Heaven. It is crowded with thorns and tears and pain. But joy comes in the morning.

Blessings

Praying for your comfort this morning.

I never imagined parenting would be so wonderful and painful at the same time.

Hugs and love from one Mama to other.

Good Mornin' Sharon. I'm glad things are brighter for you and the precious prodigal one too. Nothing can comfort like a mother's love. You're in my prayers.

Thank you for all your prayers they were so much help and comfort. I just heard from Joni and the Drs. are releasing her today. They can't operate on the blocked artery but said there's only (which doesn't sound good to me) blockage in the other artery but that's plenty for flow to the brain. She's very relieved but I'm still apprehensive about it. But God is good and she's not having surgery. Praise his name.

Hugs...Tracy :)
