Snowed In
We had quite a blizzard last night, here in Vermont. The snow is piled high outside. Mr. White and one of the boys went out at 6 this morning to begin shoveling. The roads are bad. Sadly, we won't make it to church today. It makes me think about Little House on the Prairie and the long winters they had to endure. If they could not make it to Sunday Service, they would worship at home, by the fireside. We will have our own little time of church here as well.
This afternoon, I know the children will head outdoors to sled and build snowmen. We have the entire day off from errands and activities so they can enjoy themselves. I will bake cookies later and serve hot chocolate.
I will do a little bit of housekeeping and some laundry. It will be a slow-paced, peaceful day.
Blessings

Sounds like you're in for a beautiful day. Family worship can be so sweet and to have everyone at home is just as sweet.
Enjoy and blessings!

My husband and I dream about one day living in our cabin in the mountains (that we don't own yet - ha!) and being snowed in for the winter, just like the Ingalls. We'd make do just fine with supplies and firewood, and we'd have church at home. *sigh* Was it a beautiful day?
